Pew Study Reveals A Win For The Internet

Pew Research Center revealed a study four days ago that shows the internet has become the the number two source for all media concerning national and international news (link). Not surprisingly television was rated the number one source for news. In the younger generations, reading the news on the internet is preferred by 60% as opposed to watching a television broadcast. Percentages of people in their thirties using television as a main source of news dropped 9% since 2007. Clearly the internet has started to win the battle. The internet offers the opportunity to read whatever you please, and also most news sites provide video content without ads. It's going to be interesting to watch these news companies shift their profits to the internet over the next year; how will they try and stop the internet from eventually taking over?
